‘ll be the first to admit it, sometimes I get overwhelmed.

And that’s tough to say, admitting that I too have moments of stress, where there just doesn’t seem to be enough hours in the day.

It’s hard to not get wrapped up in that, allowing that energy to take over and run the show.

But, when I really sit back and think about it, I realize that every day life is already challenging enough as it is…

When you pile on relationships, societal expectations, jobs, kids, to-do lists, life stops being about being present and starts being about checking off boxes and getting things done.

And, while there are absolutely times where that hustle is necessary, that really isn’t the point of life is it?

Appreciation and Gratitude is Key

But, what if you learned to appreciate the journey to get to those end goals, even the most menial of tasks?

What if you took a moment to enjoy the fact that you have the ability to unload the dishwasher, finding pleasure in each and every step?

Can you find a way to be present even then?

Can you tap into your heart and find appreciation for every step of the journey? No matter how small?

Might this be a tactic that will support you in managing that overwhelm?

You only get this one precious life, why not enjoy each and every moment, no matter how mundane it might seem?

Because, in all honesty, I want to reflect at the end of my time and know, beyond a shadow of a doubt, that I LIVED.

I know that might feel heavy right now, maybe even impossible but, I want you to know:

  • You are safe here
  • You are valued and appreciated
  • You are right where you are meant to be, in this moment, in the here and now.
  • You have the power within to respond to life in a way that feels good to you, that uses your energy in a brilliant way.
  • You have the power to provide comfort to yourself in moments of fear.

You have the right to enjoy the journey! Embrace it, revel in it, find gratitude for each and every experience.
