A Big Welcome!

If you had asked me a year ago if I thought I would be here, blogging, I would have told you ummmmmm, no!

But alas, here we are, I am sharing my very first post and it feels surreal, even to me.

If you have stumbled across this page allow me to WELCOME you. It is my hope that you will find a lot of valuable information here, some that might even be transformative in your own life.

That’s all a Counsellor could really ask for right? The ability to have an impact on another person’s life.

For me personally, that’s all I have ever really wanted, to be a part of your story, to support you as you begin to consider things from a new perspective.

Tapping into your Courage

It take a lot of courage, seeking Counselling or Coaching, it’s probably one of the biggest decisions you’ll ever make in your life. That can feel really scary, I know that full well, I have been there myself.

Yep, that’s right, I have walked the path you’re about to embark on, I have had my own experience with Therapy.

When I say it changed my entire life I mean it. I wouldn’t be here, writing this post, had it not been for my Counsellor.

The first day we met, that very first session, after knowing me all of 16 seconds she looked me in the eye and said this:

“Denise, why aren’t you a Counsellor?”

I just sat there, with my mouth wide open, in utter disbelief!?!?

How could she know that? What is she suggesting? I can’t just change my entire career, I have a house, a car, bills, RESPONSIBILITIES!

I must have given her 3896357823463 excuses (legitimately) as to why that was impossible.

She just smiled and said “I can’t help it, I can tell this was meant for you.”

That was the last we talked about it, until a year later…that’s how long it took me to catch up, to see what she saw, to embrace my purpose, my passion.

There I stood, tear in my eyes, sharing with her that I was meant to be a Counsellor.

She looked at me, eyes full of wonder and said, “okay, let’s do it.”

The Journey

Without her I wouldn’t be here, without her I wouldn’t have had the courage to take that leap, to follow my dreams.

Heck, I wouldn’t have even known it was meant for me without her.

She opened my eyes in ways I never thought possible, I started seeing myself through new eyes.

I broke through all of my limiting beliefs, rewrote my personal story, took back control of my life, recognized what I was capable of and, most importantly, I learned to love ME, just as I was.

My eyes are filled with tears as I reflect back on this experience, it was the turning point in my life.

Are you wondering if this is possible for you? I would say YES if you’ve read this far.

It means you are taking this seriously, that you to start feeling better. You’re beyond ready to leave the past in the past. You want to live in the NOW.

I hope this blog shows you what’s possible.
