Making yourself a PRIORITY!

Me again! How have you been this week?

My hope is that you have been taking care of yourself, creating space and time for you to tend to your own precious needs.

Self-care is so important, it is the very key to keeping yourself grounded, ready and able to conquer the days with grace and gratitude

Have you been filling your own cup during these challenging times?

Maybe you have lost yourself in the shuffle, catering and caring for everyone else in your life with absolute prowess.

That’s what you excel at as woman right?

Taking care of the world around you, keeping a keen eye on your flock, making sure everyone’s needs are met and exceeded.

You’re incredible at putting everyone else first, but what about you?

I know what’s going on inside your head as you read this, I’m almost 100% certain the sentence starts with BUT (am I wrong?)

It’s easier said than done, I know, especially because time just seems to go by so darn FAST.

Before you know it the day is done, it’s time to hit the pillow, and you’re EXHAUSTED, mentally and physically drained from the day.

And the to-do list still hasn’t been completed, that’s more important right?

More important than you taking time for yourself?

I would argue that’s not the case, in fact, I would say that time for you needs to be put at the TOP of the to-do list as opposed to off of it entirely.

I can still hear you, but, but, but, but BUT!!!!

Hear me out

How much better would you feel, how much more equipped would you be if you set aside even 10 minutes a day for YOU time.

No kids (if that applies of course!)

No chores

No commitments

Time where your only responsibility is to do something that makes you feel AMAZING.

Time to shut down, put the phone away (to avoid falling into meaningless scrolling) and just BREATHE

It doesn’t have to be some big production, maybe you do a little face mask, give yourself a wee hand massage, give yourself a BIG HUG! The options are really endless and entirely up to YOU!

Idea’s to Prioritize Yourself!

Here are some other quick ideas, right at your fingertips:

  • Make yourself a cup of tea and sip it mindfully, enjoying and experiencing each and every taste
  • Throw on you favourite song from High School and dance it out
  • Walk around the block, paying attention to the details of the trees
  • Tap into your creativity, set the time for 10 minutes, see what you can come up with
  • Close your eyes and focus on your breath, feeling the expansion and contraction of your chest
  • Grab that book that’s been on your nightstand for months and read one chapter

If you can make time for that, the benefits will far exceed what it costs you in time. 

You will feel more relaxedbalanced and content, that energy will be felt by everyone around you. In mere moments you will change the frequency of your entire body, radiating positivity and reducing stress.

You don’t have to dedicate hours, but you are worthy and deserving of YOU time.
