I went on a bit of a rant…

“One must be truthful and honest in their approach; a constant independent inquiry and not blindly following a certain blue print laid down by others”

– Bruce Lee

Boy oh boy, did I ever go on a rant.

Well, let’s call it something different, I stood on the proverbial apple box and advocated my opinion strongly.

If you didn’t already know, I have an amazing Facebook Community for those who identify as women.

The Redefine, ReALIGN, & Rediscover YOU group (Click here to join us!)

And, it’s pretty damn epic if you ask me.

On Wednesday’s I tend to do a quick LIVE in the group, a time where I share what’s going on in my mind in hopes that it will support you in your growth and development.

This one though, it takes the cake.

As women, we tend to be really bloody hard on ourselves, always seeking perfection and doing anything we can to “fit in.”

And that includes consistently dieting, changing who we are, wearing makeup, shaving, buying the trendiest new elixirs to “slow the aging process,” and the list goes on and on and on and on.

It never ends, were always looking and seeking and comparing ourselves to others.

In this video I talk all about it and I challenge you with one important question.

“WHO MADE THESE RULES?!?!”

This was a video full of passion and advocation.

I no longer want us chasing some standard that isn’t meant for us, that is rooted in patriarchal ideology.

It has to stop!

So, I encourage you (if you feel called) to check out this video and reflect on this question.

“WHO MADE THESE RULES?!?!”

Well, what did you think?

What was your greatest takeaway from this video? Feeling free to hit drop a comment below and share your thoughts with me.

It’s only by opening the conversation and talking about it that we can move towards freeing ourselves from the chains of societal beauty standards.

You’re wonderful, just as you are
